Frequently asked questions
Which is better: card or biometric access?
Cards are fast and inexpensive; biometrics can’t be lent to someone else. Many sites use cards for general doors and biometrics for sensitive areas. We’ll recommend what fits each door.
What happens if the power goes off?
We can add battery backup to controllers and locks, and choose fail-safe or fail-secure locks depending on whether a door is an escape route or a secure store.
Can I manage access remotely?
With networked systems, yes. Authorised staff can add or remove users, change schedules and view logs from the management software.
